How can I register on iMarriages.com?


To register on iMarriages all you need to do is complete the registration form as accurately as possible.

Can I register on behalf of a relative or a friend?


Yes! When completing the registration form, you can specify if you are creating this profile for yourself or someone else.

How much do I have to pay to register on iMarriages?


Nothing! The iMarriages Matrimonial Portal is completely free to use.

How long does it take to register and create a profile?


On average, it takes approximately 10 minutes to create a profile. The more time you invest in your profile, the more successful it will be.

Can I specify more than one email while registering?


No. You may only specify one email address which you will use to login with.

My Religion/Caste/Mother tongue/Profession is not listed in the Registration form. What should I do?


We have tried to be as comprehensive as possible when creating our religion, caste, mother tongue and profession options. If you can not locate yours, we have provided the ability to select 'other'.

You may also send us a message here clearly listing the addition you would like us to make. We will then do our best to add it as an option.

Are there any rules to abide by when creating a matrimonial profile on iMarriages?


* Do not include your contact details in your profile.
* Do not write anything that can be deemed offensive.
* Be as accurate as possible.
* Only upload photos of yourself.

The more information you add, the more your chances of finding a partner.

When registering, I got an error message that says that my email is already in use. Why does this mean?


Each profile on iMarriages is linked with a unique email address. An email address can only be used once on iMarriages.

You may have received this error message because you or someone else has already created a profile using this email address. If you think your email is being used by someone else, please send us an message here and let us know.

If you created previously created a profile and have forgotten your password, you may recover your password here.

Is it safe to use iMarriages?


Yes, iMarriages is completely safe to use. We provide a secure way to communicate with others without ever needing to provide your email address or phone number.

How do I log in?


You may login but clicking the 'Log In' button which is located at the top of the screen.

How do I log out?


You may login but clicking the 'Log Out' button which is located at the top of the screen.

I have lost my password.


If you have lost your password, you will need to reset it using the lost password form. Enter the email address you joined with, along with your date of birth and a new temporary password will be email'd to you. For security reasons, you must change your password once you login with the temporary one. If you did not provide your real date of birth when joining and you cannot remember what you entered, we will not help you.

How do I change my password?


The option to change your password is available in your preferences page.

Can other people tell when I am logged into iMarriages?


Yes. And you can see when they are logged in too. This helps get you noticed.

Profile

I have just submitted my profile, how long will it take to be approved?


Although we receive a high volume of new profiles that we must individually screen and approve everyday, we work hard to get new profiles approved as soon as possible. This usually takes less than 24 hours.

My profile does not show up in the search.


Your profile is new and has not yet been approved. Please allow up to 24 hours for our team to review and approve your profile. This process is required in order to keep iMarriages free of fake and poor quality profiles.

Will my personal details be displayed on my profile?


We will not display your real name or email address. Supplying your phone number is optional.

How do I edit my profile?


If you would like to edit your profile, you may do selecting "Edit Profile" from the top of the members home page.. Alternatively, you may go straight to your profile editor by clicking here.

How do I put a photo on my profile?


To add a photo to your profile, select "Add Photo" from the top of the members home page. Alternatively you can select Photo Manager from the top of your profile.

How do I disable my account?


If you no longer require your iMarriages account, click the "Preferences" link at the top of the screen. From there you can disable your account.

Photos

Why should I add my photo to my matrimonial profile?


Statistics show that adding a photo to your profile increases the number of times your profile is viewed, by upto 10 times. You are also likely to receive many more responses if you add a profile photo. You can add upto 8 photos to your profile.

Is it safe to add photos to my matrimonial profile?


Yes! It is perfectly safe to add your photo to your profile. We add watermarks to most photos which are uploaded.

While uploading my photograph, I saw an error message that the image must be in jpg, what does this mean?


The most popular file format for photos is JPG. This is the only photo format will accept.

While uploading my photograph, I saw an error message that my photo is too small or too big, what does this mean?


Photos must be within certain dimensions. We cannot work with photos that are too small or too big. You can try uploading a different photo or resizing your existing one.

How do I remove my photo from my profile?


You can remove your photo using the Photo Manager tool. The Photo Manager tool is accessed via your profile page.

Contacting Other Members

How can I contact other members on iMarriages?


You may chat with someone by clicking the "Send Message" button which is available on their profile page. If your profile is new and not yet approved, this option will not be available.

I am unable to send messages to other people.


Your profile is new and has not yet been approved. Please allow up to 24 hours for our team to review and approve your profile.

What does express interest mean?


When you "Express Interest" in somebody, they will receive a notification that you are interested in them.

Can I restrict who can contact me?


Yes! You can specify that only people who match certain requirements are able to contact you. You can specify those requirements in your preferences.

What does it mean to add somebody as a favorite?


Adding somebody as a favorite is like short listing them. You can find all the profiles you have added as a favorite by clicking "Favorites" from the top menu. You will also be notified when your favorites are online.

Block & Report Misuse

Can I block another member if they will not stop messaging me?


Yes. You can block somebody by clicking the block button which is located on the left side of their profile.

Can I see a list of people I am blocking?


Your block list is accessible via your preferences page.

How can I report a inappropriate, offensive or fake profile?


You can report profiles which inappropriate, offensive or fake profile by clicking the "Report" button which is located on the left side of the profile.
